Powered by the 40-volt 4Ah batteries, the brushless motor turns two counter-rotating blades that handles multiple jobs. You get up to 100mph with the narrow tip, then the broad tip provides up to 600cfm. Changing from Blower to Vacuum is done by a knob on the top of the RYOBI Blower Vac. Turning the knob actually turns the fan housing 180 degrees. For vacuum and mulching, the leading fan blade includes a thin metal blade as the leading edge. This leading edge chops up the debris and allows the bag to hold up to 20x more than just raking. This kit with two 4Ah 40V batteries will set you back at the @HomeDepot about $469. You get a 5-year warranty on the blower/vac, and the batteries are covered for 3 years.
