Rigid 3.56 inches let’s see how the Drills perform driving in some 5 16 inch By 5 inch lag bolts i’ll use a torque Adapter to keep track of the maximum Torque beginning with the causeway and The causeway has a single speed gear and Quickly ran out of steam and a cosway Stalled at only 38 inch pounds of Resistance just like the causeway the Roby oneplus has a single speed gear and Narobi made a lot more progress finally Giving up at 72 inch pounds and the Milwaukee gave up at 40 inch pounds or 2 Inch pounds more than the causeway their Ob1 plus hp has a 2 speed gear box 60 Inch pounds of torque and high range I’ll switch to a much larger torque Adapter and a much bigger lag bolt And the low range really helped the Robie oneplus hp more than triple the Maximum output compared to the high Range at 196 inch pounds just like the Robie oneplus hp the cobalt has a two Speed gearbox 52 inch pounds in high Range and a cobalt ran out of steam in Low range at 167 inch pounds or 29 inch Pounds less than the robie one plus hp And a metal has a single speed gearbox And a metabo is fast but it just doesn’t Make a lot of torque at 61 inch pounds And the milwaukee m18 only delivered Five inch pounds more than the m12 at 45 Inch pounds the ridges performed well in Second gear at 62 inch pounds
Considering the compact size and the Light weight of the ridgid it performed Extremely well in low range 179 inch Pounds move in the second place behind The roby The dewalt quickly ran out of steam in High range at 69 inch pounds And the dewalt makes a lot of torque and Low range at 211 inch pounds to move Into the lead over the roby one plus hp Even though the makita has a single Speed gearbox it still performed well at 106 inch pounds which is the best of all The single speed tools all of the drills With two speed gearboxes outperform the Ones with single speeds and the dewalt Came in on top at 211 inch pounds robie Oneplus hp 196 rigid 179 and cobalt 167 Inch pounds for certain projects a right Angle drill with a wood boring bit is Critical so let’s see how each of the Drills performed beginning with a Three-quarter inch self-feeding spade Bit on a fully charged battery the Costly lasted less than two seconds and Couldn’t quite get the job done and the Robie oneplus hp made quick work at only 2.51 seconds so let’s see if it can Handle a one-inch bit and there will be One plus needed 3.79 seconds for the One-inch bit let’s see if the roby can Handle an inch and a half cell feed bit Unfortunately roby just doesn’t make Enough torque the milwaukee m12 isn’t
Nearly as fast as the robie oneplus 3.79 Seconds and a one inch bit is just too Much for the milwaukee the robbie Oneplus hp blasted through the two by Four in only 2.01 seconds to move into The lead and the robie oneplus hp ran Out of steam in high range after two and A half seconds and the ruby oneplus hp Made very easy work on the one in spade Bit in low range but the lower gear Speed required quite a bit longer at 6.33 seconds And the roby one plus hp is the first Drill that’s up to the task of boring a Hole with the inch and a half bit 6.78 Seconds let’s see if the roby can handle A two and eight inch bit And the roby lost a lot of speed but it Never stalled 8.11 seconds to bore a two And a eight inch hole and the cobalt is The fastest drill yet at 1.46 seconds And the cobalt ran out of steam with the One inch bit in high range the cobalt Has more than enough torque and low Range for the one inch bit at 4.15 Seconds and the cobalt is about two Seconds faster than the rugby oneplus hp With the inch and a half bit 4.3 seconds And the cobalt is nearly twice as fast As the robie oneplus hp with a two and An eighth inch bit 4.86 seconds the Metabo hpt board to three quarter inch Hole in 2.22 seconds unfortunately the Metabo has a single speed transmission
And it just doesn’t make enough torque To handle the one inch bit and the Milwaukee m18 made the three-quarter Inch hole in 1.97 seconds unfortunately The milwaukee m18 has a single speed Transmission and it just wasn’t able to Handle the one-inch bit and the roots it Moves into a two-way tie with the cobalt At 1.46 seconds and the ridgid is the Fastest yet with the one inch bit at 1.82 seconds not enough torque in high Range and the ridgid made easy work of The inch and a half bit in low range at 5.06 seconds which is almost a second Slower than the cobalt and the ridgid Makes more than enough torque to handle The two and eight inch bit at 5.47 Seconds and the dewalt is very fast with The three quarter inch bit at 1.71 Seconds and the dewalt is nearly as fast As the ridgid with the one inch bit at 2.52 seconds not enough torque and high Range once again the dewalt performed Very well at 4.96 seconds with the inch And a half bit which is the second Fastest time the 2 and 1 8 inch bit Really slowed the dewalt quite a bit 6.43 seconds to move into third place Behind the ridgid the makita is very Fast at 1.51 seconds with a Three-quarter inch bit and the makita Made the second fastest time with the One-inch bit at 1.97 seconds with the One-speed gearbox the makita just
Doesn’t make enough torque for the inch And a half bit with a three-quarter inch Bit the cobalt and ridgid are the Fastest at 1.46 seconds makita is nearly As fast at 1.51 dewalt 1.71 and Milwaukee m18 1.97 seconds only six of The ten right angle drills had enough Torque to handle a one inch bit and the Ridgid came out on top at 1.82 seconds Some of the drills have high and low Range transmissions and had to use low Range and that really slowed their speed Quite a bit only the drills that had two Speed transmissions were able to have Enough torque to handle the inch and a Half and the two and eight inch bits the Next test is a torture test to see which Drills can handle a continuous load for Two minutes there’s no spark plug in the Lawnmower but the engine brake is Applied so the drills will be facing a 33 inch pound load during the test and Acosta was stalled during the first Attempt but it was able to get the Engine spinning and the casualty ran out Of steam after only 12 seconds with the Fully charged battery the ruby one plus Which has a single speed gearbox lasted Two minutes without a problem With the fully charged 4 amp hour Battery the m12 only lasted 18 seconds After about 45 minutes to charge the Battery the roby one plus needed two Tries to get the engine spinning in high
Range and the ruby one plus lasted about 80 seconds before it began smoking badly And then it powered down after cooling Off the roby is back in action And the cobalt just couldn’t get the Engine spinning over in high range And the cobalt easily survived the two Minute test in low range and it took About four seconds to get the metabo hpt Going And the metabo ran out of steam after 20 Seconds of actual run time and the Milwaukee m18 has a single speed Transmission and just couldn’t get the Engine spinning over the ridgid couldn’t Get the engine spinning over in high Gear And the ridgid performed very well Surviving the two-minute test in low Range and the dewalt has plenty of Torque to get the drill spinning over in High range and the dewalt was doing a Great job but began smoking after about 45 seconds Unfortunately the dewalt doesn’t seem to Have overload protection and it shut off After a minute and five seconds after Allowing the dwell to cool unfortunately The dewalt is still smoking pretty badly The makita has a single speed gearbox And had no problem getting the engine Spinning over and the makita lasted the Full two minutes so only four drills Lasted the entire 120 seconds most of
The drills which did not last the entire Two minutes seem to have adequate Overload protection except for the roby Oneplus hp and the dewalt while the Robie oneplus hp did survive the test it Did overheat pretty badly unfortunately The dewalt is run assessing ergonomics Is highly subjective however just taking Into consideration the location of the Ford reverse switch the tool grip size And the trigger location the rugby Oneplus hp cobalt and the ridgid seem The best design earning an a-plus rating The ford reverse switch in all three Drills is located out of the way but Within easy reach while holding the tool The small diameter grip size helps Prevent hand fatigue while allowing one Finger trigger access their ob1 plus is Very well designed but the grip size is Just a little bit larger than the other Tools the milwaukee m12 ford reverse Switch is located on the handle under The fingers which seems like a poor Location and the grip size is a little Too large the metabo hpt only allows two Fingers worth of space to grip the Handle without interfering with the Trigger the milwaukee m18s grip is a Little bit large and it’s pretty Challenging to access the ford reverse Switch while using just one hand the Dewalt and the makita are very well Designed but the grip size seems just a
